Become a part of something bigger. NAPAC DMVPD and make a real difference.
NAPAC DMVPD brings together Nigerian and Nigerian-American communities across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia to strengthen our political voice and expand our presence in public service. As a regional chapter of NAPAC USA, we work to ensure that the interests and perspectives of our diaspora community are represented at every level of government.

We are a non-partisan public affairs organization focused on empowering Nigerian Americans to participate fully in civic life. Our members include professionals, community leaders, students, entrepreneurs, and public servants committed to strengthening the political and civic engagement of our community.
NAPAC DMVPD helps identify, mentor, and support Nigerian Americans who aspire to leadership roles—both elected and appointed. We also evaluate non-Nigerian candidates whose values and policy priorities align with the needs of our community and consider supporting them where appropriate.
Leadership development and candidate preparation
Community education on civic participation and public policy
Engagement with elected officials and government agencies
Issue advocacy on matters affecting Nigerian American families
The region we serve holds one of the largest and most influential Nigerian American populations in the United States. With our proximity to the U.S. Capitol and major federal institutions, we are uniquely positioned to elevate issues that directly affect our community—from immigration policy to economic opportunity, education, and public safety.
This location also allows us to engage quickly with legislators, federal agencies, and policy leaders, ensuring our community’s perspective is present where major decisions are made.
We remain firmly non-partisan. Our focus is not on political parties, but on people, policies, and progress. We champion leaders—Nigerian and non-Nigerian alike—who demonstrate integrity, competence, and a genuine commitment to serving the diverse needs of our diaspora community.
A future where Nigerian Americans are fully represented in public leadership, actively shaping policy, and confidently contributing to the civic life of the states we serve.
